Hi, I'm Bella Sims, founder and owner of Magpie Visual Media. I've been snapping photos and taking videos since I got my first camera, a clunky, smaller model that I hardly remember the name of, and have loved photography ever since. I started my business in November of 2017, and have had the opportunity to be mentored by three different photographers throughout my journey. Though I originally started with just equine photography, I've moved onto animal, foam sports, and equestrian sports photography, with an emphasis on equine photography.
I have a mini poodle named Tavi (pictured), a border collie/spitz mix named Azula, and a Nigerian Dwarf goat named Hera, and I love exploring local trails with them. I've ridden horses for over a decade now, as well as worked as a groom, exercise rider, and as a riding instructor.
I completed my Veterinary Science and Companion Animal Management pathways with high scores, and competed in multiple levels of FFA competitions as well as dairy goat shows. I'm currently attending Brigham Young University, studying Wildlife and Wildlands Conservation.
I'd love to help you capture both the small and large moments in your life, whether that's your first show with a new horse or your last months with your best friend. Life is always changing, so it's important that we document it to be able to look back and see how far we've come. So together, let's make that a reality.
